Bristol Hannover Council has recently become aware of an exchange between South Gloucestershire and Stroud College and the Hannah Arendt Schule, Hannover.
Hannah Arendt Schule students will visit Bristol from Monday 16th to Friday 20th February. They will join Bristol Hannover Council for the Rosenmontag party on the 16th, will have a reception with the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House on the 19th, and will be visiting schools and businesses in Bristol and seeing the sights.
The report below is of South Gloucestershire and Stroud College’s visit to Hannover in October 2014.

In the early hours of Tuesday 7th October 2014 a party of table tennis and male football staff and students further strengthened our links with Hannah Arendt Schule (HAS) on a four day visit.
During the visit we were treated to a tour of Hannover 96 stadium, a tour of Hannover led by staff, a welcome reception at the town hall and history of Hannover talk, a BBQ hosted by Hannah Arendt Schule students and English lessons with the students.

Alongside all of this there were matches and training for both the table tennis and male football academy. The male football team performed superbly to come away with a very creditable 3-3 draw with Hannover under 17’s (who are currently 4th in the top German league) as well as recording a victory over a local side Langenhagen.

Further sporting links and exchange links have been established and the partnership with Hannah Arendt Schule will continue, with further visits planned.
