Bristol Hannover Council held their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 31st October. They were pleased to welcome the Deputy Lord Mayor of Bristol, Cllr Peter Main and Robin McDowell, Economy, Enterprise and Inclusion Team Manager at Bristol City Council as well as Association members and friends. Following the opening remarks from Cllr Main, Bristol Hannover Council Chair, Dr Ann Kennard reminded everyone of what had been a busy year for the Bristol Hannover Council and how a bigger and busier year lay ahead in 2014, with the celebrations of the 300th Anniversary of the Accession of the Elector of Hannover to the English throne. After the election of the committee, Robin McDowell spoke about the development of commercial relations between Bristol and Hannover and how since 2008 there has been a “Green Renaissance”, with delegations visiting in both directions, with a particular emphasis on the new Green technology.
