Bristol Hannover Council Chair Ann Kennard, Honorary Secretary Gerard Owen and BITA Coordinator Alix Hughes attended the “Doing Business in Germany” Conference at Leigh Court Bristol on 18th June 2013. Organised by UK Trade & Investment, this Conference was well attended by representatives from all kinds of local businesses, all of them eager to find out how they could forge trade links with Germany. The recent establishment of a direct flight between Bristol and its twin-city Hannover will certainly facilitate greater travel and greater cooperation between British and German businesses. With informative presentations from, among others, Marco Siebert, Director of International Relations at Deutsche Messe, Hannover and Andrew Fraser, UK Trade & Investment South West International Trade Adviser, there is also plenty of support and advice available for local businesses. The future is promising!
